Windows 8 pGina

Post by klaus » Wed Nov 07, 2012 1:28 pm

On a System upgraded from Win 7 to 8, pGina was used for LDAP User Login/Authentication.
After combining such a pGina- User Account with a Microsoft Account in Win 8, the Login was no longer possible.
Some cryptic error message with serveral mentions of the word "pGina" made me uninstall it.
Resulting to have a User Folder in Systemdrive/Users but no matching user in the Control Panel.
To solve this problem open the Computer Management -> Local Users and Groups (or: WIN+R -> lusrmgr.msc)
Here the user should exist, with a righ click -> Preferences you just have to add the desired group (admin, user ...) and the login will work again.
